Introduction
Dear Friend,
Thank you for visiting our web site. We at Covenant Fellowship are very excited about what God is doing in our midst, and eager to share with you the vision that we believe God has given to us for this local congregation. If after reading through this booklet you have further questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 378-0062 or drop us an e-mail at 4dharrisons@triad.rr.com.
The idea for what is now Covenant Fellowship was conceived in 1992 by Dwight and Susan Thomas and developed late that year in conversations with our founding pastor, Joel Gillespie. As a result of those conversations the present vision statement gradually came together. Early in 1993 Dwight and Susan began to float copies of this statement among their network of relationships. By the summer of 1993 a small but diverse group of people from all over the community had come together behind the vision for this new work, and a decision was made to “go for it.” Weeknight cell groups and Sunday gatherings started in late September of 1993, a little over fifteen years ago as of this writing. On March 6th 1994, Covenant Fellowship was chartered or organized as a congregation of First Presbytery of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
We are presently meeting on Sundays at 10:00am at the clubhouse of Bur-Mil Park off Highway 220, about two miles north of the Battleground Wal-Mart. From town you would proceed north on Battleground Rd. (Highway 220) for two miles, turn right onto Owl’s Roost Road, and then left onto Bur-Mil Park Road. Pass the soccer fields and driving range on the left, and turn into the main parking lot also on your left. The main building where we meet is a short walk straight ahead. Enter the main building via the main entrance and follow the signs.
We presently have several small groups meeting in different parts of town on different nights of the week. For more information about our small groups, or if we can be of service to you or pray for you in any way, please let us know.
